The yearly cost for website maintenance & updates primarily depends on how many updates to content (text, images, blog posts, etc.) you would like to do yourself. Some customers do 100% of the work, whereas others frequently contact Webstix for assistance.
We use Maintenance Blocks when we charge for maintaining a website’s content or assisting with other tasks you might not be able to do in-house. One Maintenance Block equals 30 minutes of work.
Remember that we offer free, one-on-one training before your new website launches, and the idea behind using a Content Management system (CMS) like WordPress is that you can keep the site up to date yourself, even if you’re not a programmer or graphic artist. We encourage all our customers to do as many of the updates themselves as they want. If you need additional training or add new people you would like to see trained, they are welcome to attend one of our free monthly training classes.
However, if things get messed up or need help, we usually finish the work within 24 hours and rarely in more than 48 hours. For any true emergencies, we’re happy to jump on them and get issues resolved quickly.
A small to medium-sized website that requires an update or two every second month might use 6-24 Maintenance Blocks each year. More frequent or complex updates might require more Maintenance Blocks. You can read more about our Maintenance Block pricing here.
We have also included several Maintenance Blocks (free of charge) for future maintenance and updates once your website launches.
Cost: We offer discounted Maintenance Blocks (15% to 35%) if you purchase six or more Blocks |
